Summer time in Ironton

Remember summers at the Ironton public pool? Boy, I do! I especially remember sneaking in by climbing the fence between the football field and the pool. Usually, a friend from inside would go over and talk to (distract) the lifeguard and get him or her to turn their heads the other way. When we were confident that the lifeguard wasn't looking, several of us would scramble over the fence quickly dispersing through out the pool area so no one would be able to keep track of who it was that bolted over the fence. Worked like a charm every time.
